Its Google TV software, which was built into TV sets from Sony and Samsung, was sluggish and companies moved away from using the platform. Google also announced its Nexus Q set-top box last May and, after negative reviews, it was never released to the public.
Still, experts seem to think that, at $35, this might be the device many can get behind, especially given its simple purpose of just making it easier to get the video content you are watching on your other devices on that bigger screen.
Some analysts pointed out that set-up could be a bit complex for people to configure, but they pointed to the price and basic functionality as being a differentiator.
"It's not a complete solution, but it's trying to tackle a single problem -- expediently getting online video to your TV -- and at a price that beats about everything out there," Rubin said.
The Chromecast is available now from the Google Play Store, BestBuy.com and Amazon.com for $36. It will ship on Aug. 7.

Today is different from yesterday in technology world ...It is no longer counted in months and years, but nowadays the counted became in minutes and seconds in a world gasping behind technology and invention of everything new. and If we look around us, we find that the technology fills our lives and roll, like a curse....The question here is can we dispense with technology?

NO.NO, we cannot because as i mentioned a while that it's fills and roll our lives, technology imposes itself and has become an important and essential part of our lives, Either to be part of this world or looking for yourself where else, "because we all become digital" and is no longer an optional command.

 

On the other hand, we are not be fascinated by a new technology discovered like we are fascinated  in previous years. we no longer call the computer "Sprite"; so some of us sitting in front of a computer screen more than sitting with his wife.

and because of techology the world has become a small village, and we are now control it whatever we want.

If our ancestors sent from their graves, maybe they will lose thier mind and will die again because can't belives in what we have now, and our world has become for them a bit more like the planet Mars and we are not a human in their eyes.

we are living in the age of technology.no doubt about it, no one can deny that, we start our day with the technology, and end our day with it, this is the reality, and denying it will look like as a denial the rotation of the earth around the sun.
